Action Plan (01/09/2017 - 08/09/2017)


This is the list of tasks i would like to complete within this schedule 
  • Complete detailed analysis of music videos (at least 3) including conventions and genre categories e.g. illustration, amplification and disjuncture.
  • Post examples of other texts. Music videos that you like and may use as inspiration.
  • A variety of mood boards to convey different aspects of video (e.g. genre, styling, miss en scene).
  • Research audience profile and conduct market research (use uktribes.co.uk)
  • Shortlist five potential songs. Account for choices.
  • Decide on a song. Explain decision.
  • Decide on band/artist name and create biography.
  • Post photos of band members alongside existing bands/ artists as exemplars.
  • Preparation of a 25 word pitch.
  • Set up twitter feed for your fictitious band.

UK Tribes Usually to identify a target audience and what tribe they belong to in the UK we use UK Tribes. However, after some intensive research, we figured that UK Tribes do not have a section or tribe for country-listeners as country music hasnt been identified as appealing to young listeners yet however, this figure is growing. Therefore, I had to use other sources of information to do my research such as demographics of country listeners in the UK and current artists who still carry a country background. Post Production Evaluation

I believe that the post production ran smoothly and allowed us to be able to finish all of the post production quickly but to a high quality. We separated the filmed sections in to 3 different files for each actor this made it a lot easier for us to find the shots for each actor. When we had sorted all of the film clips in to the folders we could get started on the editing. We used Adobe Premier Pro this software allows us to easily be able to put the video all together and add in the soundtrack. I watched some tutorials on the software so that I could do the basics and be able to edit shots together. We also then added in filters to make it look like the original and added in blur where they had in the original video. In the editing, I believe we developed the video by making some shots go on longer than the original but overall it is very similar.
